Barclo started with two dogs, Archie and Lola, and one frustration: brilliant pet care people losing their evenings to admin.
Hi, I’m Dylan
I’ve spent more than twenty years in marketing and operations: the systems and processes that let good people do their best work. Somewhere along the way, I wanted to point all of that at something I love.
What I love is dogs. Archie is a Beagle-Spaniel cross who thinks every walk is the best day of his life. Lola is a Maltese-Shih Tzu who runs the house. Through them I got to know the walkers, groomers, boarders, sitters and trainers who look after other people’s animals like their own.
And I kept seeing the same thing. People who got into this for love were chasing invoices over WhatsApp, juggling bookings across three apps and a notepad, and writing up notes long after the last dog had gone home. The people doing the caring shouldn’t be the ones buried in paperwork.
So I built Barclo, shaped by a year of listening to real pet pros. It’s named after my dogs, and it’s the thing I’m proudest to have made.

Why is it called Barclo?
It’s named after Dylan’s dogs, Archie and Lola: a Beagle-Spaniel cross and a Maltese-Shih Tzu who between them inspired the whole thing.
Is Barclo a UK company?
Yes. It’s designed, built and supported in the UK, and it runs on its own servers in the UK.
What’s the dog sanctuary?
Barclo’s long-term aim is to fund a sanctuary in Spain for street dogs and rescues. Every business that grows on Barclo brings that closer.
