The Barclo app
The Barclo app for iPhone and Android is built for the day out: your schedule, GPS walks, visit reports and client messages in your pocket.
The Barclo app is for you and your team. It does the work you do on the move: seeing the day, running walks, sending reports, answering requests and messages. Setting up services, invoices and settings stay on the web, at app.barclo.co.uk. Clients do not use the app; they book and see their reports in the client portal.
Getting the app and signing in
Download it
Search for Barclo in the App Store or on Google Play.
Use the same email and password as the web. Team members use the email they were invited with (see Team). Forgotten it? Tap Forgot password?.
New to Barclo?
Tap Register to set up a new business from the app.
What each person can see and do follows their role, exactly as on the web. A team member does not see prices or money, for example.

Your day and walks
Each row on Today has its next step. A walk says Start walk (or Continue walk once it is under way). Other visits say Done once they have started, and the first day of a stay says Arrived, with Done on the day they leave.
A walk takes you through collecting each pet, the live walk with GPS distance, toilet logs, photos, videos and notes, then returning each pet home and the visit report. The steps are in Today and visits. The app explains why it needs your location before it asks, and only collects it while a walk is in progress.
Bookings, clients and pets
- A booking shows the service, time, pets, the client with a call button and their address (tap to open maps), pinned notes, and the booking's notes. Its footer has the one next step: Confirm booking or Decline request for a request, Start walk, Done, or Create report once it is completed.
- Getting in shows key, alarm and parking details and any codes, hidden until you tap Show code. Only the owner and the carer on that booking see it.
- Clients can be searched by name, pet or phone, with contacts, emergency contacts and notes. Pets show their care, behaviour, medical and vaccination details.
Making, editing and cancelling bookings, adding clients and editing pets are done on the web. The app links you there when you need it, and My profile lists the web pages your role can use.
Visit reports
After a walk, or from a completed booking, the visit report opens. Add photos and videos, notes, and a few words about how it went, choose whether to Include route map, then Send to [client]. If the email could not be sent, the app says so; the report is still in the client's portal.
Settings in the app
More › Settings shows your business and account details, the app version and Location access. Delete account opens the web. Use Report a problem in More to tell us when something is not right.
Coming in the next app update
- Daily logs under More, to fill in the day's daily logs on the phone. Until then they work in the phone's web browser.
- A booking shows the client's forms still to sign, with Send to sign for whoever manages clients.
Updates arrive through the App Store and Google Play in the usual way.
